IDtheLook is a mobile app that identifies clothing and accessories in a photo and shows you where to shop for them. This policy covers the IDtheLook app on Android and iOS. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect the following:

Photos you provide. When you take a photo or choose one from your library to identify an outfit, that image is sent to a third-party image recognition service so we can find the items in it. We do not store the photo itself on our servers. It is used only to generate the results shown to you in that session.

Usage data. We collect basic, anonymous information about how the app is used, such as which screens are opened and which actions are taken (for example, tapping a shopping link). This helps us understand what's working and what isn't. It is not tied to your name or any account, because the app doesn't have accounts.

Device and diagnostic data. If the app crashes or encounters an error, basic technical information (device type, operating system version, and what the app was doing at the time) may be collected automatically to help us fix the problem.

Anonymous device identifiers. The app generates an anonymous identifier for your install to help keep the service secure and working properly. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any personal profile, because none exists in this app.

IDtheLook does not require or ask for an account, a name, an email address, or a phone number. There is no login. We do not collect your precise location. We do not sell your information to anyone, for any purpose.

When you scan a photo, it is sent securely to our backend, passed to a third-party image recognition service to identify the clothing and accessories in it, and the results are returned to your device. The photo is not retained on our servers after that. Your scan history and saved looks, including the photos in them, are stored only on your own device. They are never uploaded to us, and clearing them in the app's settings removes them completely.

IDtheLook is free to use. When you tap a shopping link in the app, you're taken to a retailer's website (currently Amazon) through a link that may earn us a commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. This is how we keep the app free, and it does not affect the price you pay. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

IDtheLook relies on a small number of third-party services to function: an image recognition service to identify items in your photos, a backend and analytics provider to run the app and website and understand basic usage patterns, a crash-reporting tool to catch and fix bugs, and retailer affiliate programs (such as Amazon Associates) for the shopping links themselves. Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data on our behalf.

If you allow notifications, the app schedules an occasional reminder about your most recent scan. It is created and shown by your device alone; nothing about it is sent to us. You can turn it off at any time from Settings > Notifications > Reminders, or in your device's notification settings.

You can clear your scan history and saved looks at any time from Settings > Your data > Clear scans & saved looks. This immediately and permanently deletes that data from your device. Anonymous usage and diagnostic data is retained by our analytics and crash-reporting providers according to their own retention schedules, and is not linked to your identity in a way that would let us look it up on request.

IDtheLook is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information the app handles, including encrypting data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Effective" date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.

By downloading, installing, or using IDtheLook, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

IDtheLook identifies clothing and accessories in a photo you provide and shows shopping links for similar or matching items at a range of price points. Results are generated automatically and are estimates. We don't guarantee that every item will be identified correctly, that a linked product is identical to the one in your photo, or that prices, availability, or sizing shown by a retailer are current or accurate at the time you view them.

IDtheLook contains affiliate links, including links to Amazon. When you follow one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Any purchase you make is a transaction between you and that retailer, not with us. We are not responsible for the products, pricing, shipping, returns, or customer service of any third-party retailer.

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the app or the services it relies on
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the app's source code or underlying technology
• Use automated tools to send an unreasonable volume of requests through the app

The IDtheLook app, its design, and its branding are owned by Teleported LLC. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without our permission. Photos you provide remain yours; we claim no ownership over them.

IDtheLook is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that identification results will be accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teleported LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any purchase made through a shopping link shown in the app.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Effective" date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
